Topics presentation by Principal, Mr. Casquete:
Mr. Casquete introduced and explained that our campus is working diligently towards meeting campus’ performance indicators. He explained our campus SIP’s indicators as follows:
Indicator #1: By June 2026, 80% of the 6th graders will complete 3 on grade level lessons each week on IXL.
Indicator #2:Increase the percentage of students that fell into 61 percentile achievement band or higher from 51% on NWEA BOY to 56% on NWEA MOY.
Indicator #3: In Spring of 2025, 50% of our students scored 6 or higher on the State Assessment - Extended Constructed Response (ECR), by Spring of 2026, 55% of the students will score at least a 6 or higher on the ECR.
Indicator #4: Students with IEPs will demonstrate a Composite Average Annual growth of 1 or higher on the NWEA Reading assessments from the Fall (BOY) to the Spring (EOY).
Indicator #5: By January 2026 50% of CORE teachers will score 8/13 or higher in (Instruction), as measured by each teacher’s individual spot average.
Indicator #6: By May 2026, 68% of CORE teachers will score 8/13 or higher in (Instruction), as measured by each teacher’s individual spot average.
Next, Mr. Casquete provided background information about last IRT report. He explained that our campus scored 11.94/18. Teachers scored from 9-16.5. We landed on Proficient 1 level. He also explained that appraisers are implementing several strategies to support teachers to improve lesson delivery performance. He finally stated that we are all focusing on the second IRT scheduled for Nov. 13-21, 2025.
Mr. Casquete mentioned that students’ ADA yearly percentage remains at 96.7%. He said that we are providing incentives for students to attend school. He thanked the campus administration and the PTO president, for providing the incentives for the last four weeks. He reminded the committee that our student’s ADA remains at 98% As for the student’s behavior incidents, Mr. Casquete shared that we remain at 7 out/in suspension incidents. He reminded that we are doing everything possible to minimize physical or any types of incidents that require out of school suspension. Our yearly goal remains at cutting OSS incidents by 50% compared to last year’s.
Following up, SDMC campus administrator members had the opportunity to inform the committee about how their different departments are doing. They shared different dates and upcoming activities. Mr. Simien stated that the activity calendar and other information are shared with parents and community in the ParentSquare.
