ParentSquare School Communication Platform

Beginning in the '25-'26 school year, Houston ISD will replace all existing communication platforms with ParentSquare, a communication platform by a California-based company.

HISD will use ParentSquare to send urgent alerts regarding inclement weather and school closures, missed attendance alerts, and campus-specific messages.

The platform also allows HISD and its campuses to create a feed and newsletter, survey families and share registration forms for parent-teacher conferences, volunteering opportunities and field trips.
